Kodak Alaris Colorado is the home of Kodak Moments Thermal Media Manufacturing and the Windsor Regional Distribution Center. The operations are responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of thermal media for photographic applications.

Job Summary:

Kodak Moments Colorado (KMC) is looking for an Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in an industrial setting. This position will support automation efforts in the KMC finishing operation.

 

Job Description:

As an Automation/Robotics Engineer, you will leverage engineering fundamentals to develop and implement novel automation and robotic solutions. You will play a pivotal role in developing solutions to complex packaging and material handling processes to significantly reduce labor dependency in film and paper converting operations. Working with cross-functional teams, you will identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current processes and implement data-driven automation solutions to maintain product quality. This individual will be responsible for electrical and mechanical design as well as day to day support of new and current manufacturing equipment.

The role will partner with engineers, operators, mechanics, technicians, and external vendors to:

  • Design hardware, software, and process solutions that drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide electrical, mechanical, software, and control systems expertise.
  • Integrate robots and equipment with PLCs and HMIs to develop innovative solutions that address intricate and ambiguous problems.
  • Create and troubleshoot 6-axis and 4-axis robot software and tooling (Epson).
  • Sustain, enhance, and modernize existing systems.
  • Plan, lead, and delegate projects.
  • Collect and present performance data to site leadership.
  • Mentor technicians, operators, and maintenance personnel.
  • Support product commercialization teams.

 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

Ability to learn and use electronic test equipment.

Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical issues utilizing a variety of tools.

Strong documentation (technical reports and procedures) skills.

Ability to present and accept constructive feedback during design review processes.

Ability to conduct research and work with external equipment vendors for both existing and new

          manufacturing processes.


Job Specifications:

Education: 

Required:

BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering from an ABET accredited institution

Desired:

Automation focused curriculum

 

Experience:

Required:

3-6 years.

Industrial or Manufacturing experience

 

Skills:

Required:

Standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Robotics Programming & Troubleshooting

SolidWorks or AutoCAD proficiency

PLC Programming and Troubleshooting

Electrical control circuit troubleshooting

 

Preferred:

Programming languages such as Visual Basic, C++, Java

Allen Bradley PLCs experience

Connected Components Workbench software experience (or similar)

SolidWorks Electrical experience

SolidWorks PDM experience

3D Printing / Prototyping skills

 

 

$80,000 to $90,000 annually depending on experience.
