Purpose of the Role...
We are currently looking for a full-time Mobile Crane Operator to assist with metal recycling activities at our Hazelton, PA location. Our ideal Crane Operator is dependable, a team player and has an emphasis on safety.
What you’ll Do...
- Load/unload scrap materials, bales, bins, boxes, crates, etc. onto and from customer trailers, truck beds, bins and other cargo as needed.
- Transfer all necessary materials from one place to another; pick up falling material during transfer.
- Ensure a clean and orderly workplace; clean- and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
- Adhere to, evaluate and maintain proper service logs and maintenance requirements.
- Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols
- Performs other duties assigned.
- Minimum 6 months of consecutive crane operation experience.
- OSHA Safety certification preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Knowledge of scrap metal commodities helpful.
- Ability to perform all physical, mental and environmental job functions.
- Ability to work in all elements such as rain, cold and heat.
- Ability to handle stressful situations, manage time, and multitasking.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written form.
- Must be able to pass background, credit check and drug test.
What Qualifications You'll Bring to the Team...
- High school diploma or GED-equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of consecutive crane operations experience.
Other Job Demands
Work is generally performed outdoors in all-weather elements such as hot, cold, rain, or snow and personal protective equipment is required. Working hours may vary and evening or weekend work may be required. You may be required to lift and carry light weights.
