Urgently hiring a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. If you are a self-starting, and talented HR professional, that is looking to make a huge positive impact. We have the perfect opportunity for you!  As our HR Generalist, you will provide day-to-day support to EMR’s Eastern region and My Auto Store. You will be a go to member of our HR department. You will assist the rest of the HR team, senior management, and employees in understanding and applying best practices. Purpose of the Role...
 

The HR Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, supporting both, EMR Eastern region and My Auto Store to plan and administer important functions such as staffing, training and development, benefits, and compensation. The HR Generalist must be an independent worker who can balance multiple assignments. The HR Generalist must objectively evaluate the effectiveness of services being provided by HR and be able to make adjustments that optimize value being added.   

What You’ll Do...
 

  • Develop and maintain talent management processes
  • Lead new hire onboarding processes 
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
  • Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies
  • Maintain records in accordance with company, union, government requirements
  • Assist with employee engagement efforts, including administering  employee surveys
  • Maintain employee personnel records
  • Administer employee benefits, including assisting with leave administration
  • Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary
  • Work with peers across regions to ensure best practices and uniformity of HR 
  • Manage unemployment claims

What Requirements You Will Need...
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3 years human resources experience
  • Experience with Ceridian HRIS system preferred
  • Bilingual English/ Spanish a plus
  • Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or heavily industrial organization preferred


Other Job Demands

Work is generally performed in a traditional office environment at our Camden, New Jersey location. Visiting sites in region with regularity is required. Working hours may vary and evening or weekend work may be required. You may be required to lift and carry light weights. Travel requires the ability to drive and the use of a personal vehicle.
