The SCADA/MES Data Engineer is responsible for leading our IT-OT integration efforts, driving digital transformation, and supporting operations management. Duties include developing and implementing end-to-end applications, designing and developing user-friendly applications, and conducting analysis to provide actionable insight. This career requires proficiency with IT/ERP software and tools such as Python, HTML, CSS, and Visual Studio Code, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field.

 

I.                   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops and implements end-to-end SCADA, MES and CMMS applications along with ERP integration.
    • Ensures secure integration of Distributed Control systems to the Ignition Platform Gateway in compliance with cybersecurity standards.
    • Designs and develops user-friendly applications for operational efficiency.
    • Defines and executes a vision for digital transformation, focusing on real-time visibility of production and operations.
    • Leads IT-OT convergence, manages cross-functional teams, and prioritizes features for digital products.
    • Utilizes Lean Six Sigma and TQM methodologies to support operations and drive continuous improvement to save significant manual date entry hours and optimize production.
    • Conducts data analysis using BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Knime, to provide actionable insights.
    • Manages data integrations into data lakes and warehouses for enhanced decision-making.
    • Leads project management efforts including requirement gathering, workflow organization, stakeholder communication, and budget management.
    • Other job duties as assigned.

 

II.                Required Skills / Abilities

    • Proficient in IT/ERP software and tools such as Python, HTML, CSS, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, SQL Server, and other Microsoft products.
    • Strong understanding of data skills and tools, including cloud services such as Azure IoT Hub, Azure Data Factory, databases such as MSSQL, MySQL, SQLite, and BI tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and Knime.
    • Proven project management skills.
    • Effective communication both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

III.             Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field.
    • Proven experience with OT software and tools such as Ignition by Inductive Automation, Sepasoft MES, Cirrus Link MQTT modules, and various automation products (Rockwell, Siemens, Automation Direct).
    • Relevant certifications in project management, Lean Six Sigma, or cybersecurity are a plus.                              #Li-Onsite
