About the Role
Magnit holds a unique place within the contingent workforce industry – we operate as a managed service provider for some of the biggest names in the world, delivering an end-to-end solution for them to ensure the smooth sourcing, onboarding, management and reporting of their contingent workforce.
Our Global Tax Team works together to ensure the company is compliant with all relevant applicable regulations and tax laws, adequately and effectively manages the company’s tax risks and adds value by mitigating the risk of tax controversary while acting as a strategic partners to the business.
The Senior Manager Tax Provision and Reporting will be highly skilled and experienced tax professional and will be responsible for managing all tax requirements for external reporting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for the global consolidated tax provision, the preparation and review of the tax footnote and related disclosures
- Operate as the technology lead to implement and maintain a tax technology tool/solution for tax provision
- Manage the monthly, quarterly and year-end close process for income tax related balances
- Review annual statutory tax provisions and tax disclosures for the financial statements of foreign subsidiaries as prepared under local GAAP, working closely with the Global Financial Reporting team
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and legal teams, to gather necessary financial data and ensure accurate tax reporting
- Manage the consolidation and reconciliation of tax-related data to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Provision modelling for new tax law changes including, but not limited to TCJA changes, Pillar 2 and CAMT impacts
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the organization's tax reporting, and communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders
- Manage external auditor relationship for US GAAP audit of income taxes.
- Research and document technical tax and tax accounting issues
- Drive efficiency and simplicity into the Magnit tax function, including through standardization & simplifications of processes and by the utilization of technology
- Liaise with the wider Global Tax team to drive efficiencies within the tax department as a whole
- Assist with administrative duties, including managing the relationship and co-ordination with service providers, budgeting, department planning and hiring

What You Will Need
- CPA or an advanced degree in taxation or equivalent designation
- Typically requires 8-10 years of related experience in a corporate tax department of a global organization (private equity owned or publicly held essential)
- Highly proficient in US GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience in managing tax reporting processes and managing relationships with external auditors and service providers
- Familiarity with international tax reporting
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Must be able to pay significant attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to use judgment and make sound decisions
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and knowledge/experience with implementing a tax software solution for tax provisioning, preferably OneSource
- The ideal candidate will work as part of a high-performance culture built around autonomy and responsibility.
Compensation: The salary range is $175,000-$195,000 USD annually. The salary is based on the candidate's experience, skills, and geographical location.
